Something Got Me Started

I wonder what I could do.

That's what got me started.
Of course I knew that wasn't an easy question.
What could I do anyway?
And what difference would it make?

After all, the disaster was of such a large scale.
But I couldn't just be doing nothing.
There must be something I can do.
I don't know why but I just had that strong conviction.

What is it from here in Morioka I can do for the people on the coast who got hit so badly?
I was in this long dark tunnel with no light in sight.

Then, out of the blue, my cell phone rang.
It was from my friend.

I found out I wasn't the only who was feeling so lost.
The call woke me up and stirred up something deep inside; I felt so strong.
So we really started taking action.

Before I knew it, I was surrounded by people, all working together.
We just started doing what we felt from our hearts.
Simply conveying what was before us.
Though this may not be the only answer,
There is so much to be expressed and shared from over there.

And through doing this it makes us believe,
We are not alone: there are many people out there climbing the same kind of mountain.
